Hurry up and enrol in one of our FTA courses! The second term features 'The Concepts of Free Software and Open Standards', 'GNU/Linux Advanced', 'Economic Aspects of Free Software' and 'Software Architecture'. This is your last chance because registration for this term closes coming Monday April 11th, 2011.
Here's a few reasons why you might want to make arrangements and double-check your agenda to join us:
- We use a distance learning methodology: we provide individualised attention while you make your own schedule. The process facilitates a new learning experience with motivated and pro-active fellow learners.
- We are enabling the adoption of Free Technologies by providing a high quality educational programme.
- We have put in place extensive quality reviews and quality procedures.
- When successfully completing FTA Modules you receive recognised certificates, and waivers in case of continuing a complete cycle of study at one of our partner universities. Check our page on International Recognition for more information!
- We're building a common master curriculum working with other universities who are setting up their own Master Programmes on Free Technologies.
The second term takes off on April 18th and will be concluded on July 16th. The estimated time needed to complete one module is 125 hours.
Even if you can't find the time to study, get a free FTA account and get a taste of the extras the FTA offers by watching the Guest Lecture by Richard Stallman]! Previous knowledge is required: please make sure that you understand the basic concepts of Free Software. In his lecture, Richard Stallman dives into current attacks on the freedoms of software users, such as DRM, software patents and ACTA. He will answer your questions in the FTA Campus between 11th and 18th April. The Guest Lecture itself is published as of... today!
Enrol here. We hope to greet you in the Campus soon!
