The extensive programme of this year's Open Source Symposium will focus on the value of free software in the enterprise environment and will give insights in the latest developments and applications in this area. The presentations are strongly aligned to the practical implications of free software and react to a broad range of domains such as Enterprise Content Management, Content Management, Customer Relations Management, Business Intelligence, Operating Systems and Platforms, Cloud Computing, Virtualization, Middleware and Service Oriented Architecture.

Keynote speakers are Jan Stedehouder, Michiel Leenarts and Ineke Schop. During one of the expert sessions, Hinde ten Berge will present the Free Technology Academy in which she will relate business models for production, maintenance and distribution of free software to the analogue of free software in education: 'fully free knowledge'. To which extent are business models for Free Software proving to be successful in the case of the FTA?
