From 13 till 16 August the four yearly, techno-political, security and technology hackers festival was organised, this edition under the title of Hacking At Random, or HAR2009.
2300 people from many countries came together to debate about privacy, security, freedom, autonomy in digital contexts and user control over technology in general.
On Saturday, Wouter Tebbens presented the Free Technology Academy and during the presentation launched the FTA website. The site was communicated real time through Twitter and identi.ca and retransmitted by various others.
The audience posed several interesting questions about the programme, selection procedures, certification, exams and ways to participate in the making of a successful programme.
The lecture was recorded and can be seen at the HAR2009 Video archive (.ogg). Note that if it doesn't download correctly, you could check here.
